Microsoft: Patch Tuesday ahead
Microsoft is planning to deliver 10 security updates on June 8, addressing a total of 34 vulnerabilities.
As usual, Microsoft published an advance notification of the patches likely to be released this month in the framework of its regular security update cycle. The software giant will probably issue 10 bulletins next week. Three patches are rated "critical", seven "important". Seven of the bulletins is affecting Windows, three will patch Office, and two will fix Internet Explorer and server software, respectively.
With the June bulletins, the software giant is closing Security Advisory 983438 (Vulnerability in Microsoft SharePoint could allow elevation of privilege) and Security Advisory 980088 (Vulnerability in Internet Explorer could allow information disclosure).
The advance list of patches to be released next Tuesday is as follows:

Microsoft also repeated its warning that all support for the Windows 2000 and Windows XP SP2 platforms will end after July 13. Customers should upgrade to either a supported operating system or the latest service pack in order to keep receiving security updates.
