New mail filtering, server protection and scanner products for Linux, FreeBSD and Solaris

The latest versions of virusBuster for Mail Servers, VirusBuster for Samba Servers and VirusBuster for Linux, FreeBSD have been published.

We are glad to inform our customers, that we have published the latest versions of our products for Linux, FreeBSD and Solaris. Besides the integration of the latest virus scanning engine, the new packages include several new functions and fixes, and support the latest kernel and operating system version:

VirusBuster for Mail Servers (SMTP) (1.60.5)

• Scan engine 4.6.15
• Version 5.07.001 Commtouch scan engines for ESP/ZH filters
• A fix for the vbspool.sh command on Solaris
• Modified documentation, which contains the latest possible values of %espfilter% and %spamfilter% tokens
• A fix for running out of memory while reloading the configuration
• A fix for sending monthly virus statistics
• A fix for the token, which contains the name of the applied template  in case of an e-mail which contains several recipients
• A fix in the handling of wildcards

VirusBuster for Mail Servers (Sendmai, Qmail, Postfix, Courier, Linux GroupWise) (1.1.7)

• Scan engine 4.6.15
• Version 5.07.001 Commtouch scan engines for ESP/ZH filters
• A fix for the display of found spam on the statistics panel
• A fix for unexpected behavior in case of scanning faulty attachments
• Extended sample configuration, which includes GroupWise-specific settings
• A fix for the sample configuration in case of a 550 response while using postfix.
• Sendmail integration instructions have been modified in the documentation
• A fix for the acceptnomatch option in the configuration

VirusBuster for Samba Servers (1.2.1)

• Uses the latest, version 1.2.2-es ScanDaemon, which contains the latest, 4.6.15 virus scan engine
• Compatibility for Debian 5.0 and Ubuntu 9.10 distributions
• Support for Samba up to version 3.4
• A fix for the proper display of the virus database version/date in the log

VirusBuster for Linux, FreeBSD (1.0.9)

• Uses the latest, version 1.2.2-es ScanDaemon, which contains the latest, 4.6.15 virus scan engine
• Support for the latest kernel versions
• A problem has been fixed, which caused decreased performance in some cases on FreeBSD
• Improved compatibility with CentOS and Debian distributions

• A fix for installation on 64-bit RedHat Enterprise Linux distributions
