CheckVir is a project for anti-virus testing. The purpose of these tests is not the ranking of anti-virus softwares. The main goal of these tests is that the results of the tests published on this web site help users in the fight against viruses, help anti-virus developers in their work and the anti-virus products become better and free from bugs. |

West Coast Lab's Checkmark is a system which tests and certifies computer security products. It is a simple logo which may be carried on the product, on the product box or even on a start-up screen. It shows that the product has been tested and approved to an industry-recognised standard by an independent organisation. |

Virus Bulletin tests antivirus programs regularly on a wide range of platforms. The VB 100% logo is awarded to products that detect all In the Wild viruses during both on-demand and on-access scanning in Virus Bulletin's comparative tests. The product must also produce no false positives. |

In regularly intervals they test anti-virus software on behalf of the producers and for magazines. |

The mission of the Wildlist Organization is to provide accurate, timely and comprehensive information about "In the Wild" computer viruses to both users and product developers. The WildList, a list of computer viruses found in the wild and reported by a diverse group of over 55 qualified volunteers, is made available free of charge by the organization. |
