VirusBuster wins Business Ethics Prize

This year's Business Ethics Prize, a prestigious Hungarian award recognizing ethical and responsible business conduct, went to VirusBuster in the "small business" category.

The prize was handed over to VirusBuster CEO Julianna Bozsó yesterday, at a gala in Budapest's Best Western Hungária Hotel.

"Ever since we entered the market, we have always strived for maximum correctness in our relationships with customers, partners and employees, and worked towards an inspiring and safe corporate atmosphere. As a successful company in its field, IT security, we have always done our best to help our community, including socially handicapped people, the public health care and education sectors. Corporate social responsibility is particularly important at the time of recession. I'm very pleased that our efforts have now been recognized by such a prestigious organization as the jury of the Business Ethics Prize", commented Julianna Bozsó.

Established in 2000 by Professor Ervin László, the Chairman of the Budapest Club, and Mária Demcsák, the editor-in-chief of business magazine Piac & Profit, Hungary's Business Ethics Prize is a recognition of corporate responsibility, ethical business conduct and social awareness. It is awarded each year by a jury made up of the prize's founders and the representatives of earlier winners. This year, it was awarded in four categories: small and medium businesses, as well as large national and multinational companies. The prize is sponsored by Microsoft, Hungarian mobile provider Pannon and Electrolux.
